Labor Day

On Labor Day we went to the park and enjoyed the nice weather.  The Girls loved breathing the fresh air.  The boys loved the picnic with food from Cougar Country.  We had a good time as a whole family!

Getting used to her Spectacles

Bethany was diagnosed with strabismus and far sidedness.  It is rare that she is smiling while she has her glasses on.  She doesn't like them that much.  But, she is starting to get used to them.

Bethany update

On August 15th, Bethany had another procedure done on her airway.  The Dr. put a scope down her trachea.  The airway was mostly open.  Unfortunately, vocal chords were stuck together.  This can be caused by GERD (acid reflux).  But, the Dr. was hopefull that we are on our way to decannulation!  If the airway stays open and the vocal chords don't block it, then plunk!  Out comes the trach!
Bethany was weighed and measured today.  She is growing good, but we still would like her to gain more weight and have some catch up growth.  She is weighing in at 11lbs 10oz and is 7 1/2 months old! So we are increasing her calories.  She is getting stronger and taking tastes of food.
She still continues to have an oral aversion and swallowing problem.  But, we are working hard on it everyday!  Through all of this Bethany continues to be a patient, happy baby.  She smiles all the time and melts our everyday!

7 months old today!!

A year and a week ago, (Aug. 1, 2011) we first found out we were having Twins!! It was shocking and so exciting!  We had so much fun telling all of you our wonderful news!
